Today we went to Dr. Karni's Shooting Range and the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Dr. Karni Singh, I learned, was a legendary shooter; he won the silver medal at the 38th World Shooting Championships. The range is only 55 minutes away from where we were staying. It's near the Tughlakabad Fort which is in South Delhi. He is very well-known throughout India, and he was honored with this shooting range, which is very often visited by people who seek to be just like him.
A 32 minute ride brought us from the range to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, there we participated in football, tennis, and basketball. All of these sports were played in a similar fashion to how we play them in America, but we still learned a lot about different techniques known throughout IndiaWe stopped at a little Indian restaurant on the way back to our hotel for dinner, and had another fantastic Masala Dosa. After a long (and tiring) day, we drove back to the hotel and rested.
